The A23 London Road runs straight through Norbury, and the streets hanging off it, Kensington Avenue, Semley Road, Norbury Avenue, are where our SW16 days mostly happen. These are Victorian and Edwardian terraces with a back kitchen, and going south toward the Croydon side they give way to 1930s semis with a bit more room to swing a tray. Plenty have been split into flats.
Norbury sits across three councils. Most of it is Croydon, a slice runs into Lambeth, and the far edge touches Merton, which matters to us only because parking rules do not stop at a borough line. The Norbury Cottage Garden Estate off the London Road, built by the old London County Council in 1901, is one pocket we know well.

Terrace kitchens near the London Road parades run older freestanding single ovens. The 1930s semis toward Norbury Park more often have a double, and the larger un-split houses sometimes hide a 90cm range. Flats above the shops and the office-to-residential conversions along the main road tend to have integrated singles. A double oven in a converted terrace is common enough that we bring the extra tank space by default.

Racks, shelves, trays and side runners soak in the tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and glass we degrease by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no smell after. No. There is one price whether you are on the Croydon, Lambeth or Merton side, and no premium-area surcharge anywhere.
Can you park on the streets off the A23?
Usually. Croydon runs a Norbury permit zone on some roads, so tell us the street and we sort parking before the van sets off.
Is the van diesel a problem in the ULEZ?
No. Our vans meet the standard, so there is no charge passed to you and no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.
Can you do the extractor while you are here?
Yes. The extractor hood is £28, and a hob is £23–28, both on the same visit.

Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
