London Oven Cleaners clean ovens in New Malden from £77. The oven goes back together and is heated for you to inspect, and anything not right is put right before we leave.
New Malden station opened in 1846, seventeen years before Kingston had a station of its own, and the first streets of the new town were six Groves west of the High Street, each planted with the tree it is named after: Acacia, Chestnut, Elm, Lime, Poplar and Sycamore.
From the Groves to the grid off Kingston Road
Kingston's borough character study says the plots in the Groves were laid out early but filled slowly, with Victorian villas and semi-detached cottages by 1900, Edwardian terraces next (a good group stands where Poplar Grove meets Lime Grove) and infill ever since. Most of the town was finished by the end of the Edwardian era. The Kingston bypass then sped things up: it opened in 1927, and the population went from 20,000 in 1928 to 25,000 in 1931.
South of the railway, Cleveland, Cambridge and Montem Roads, north of Kingston Road, were laid out as a grid late in the 19th century and keep their narrow front gardens; Green Lane, further out, has 1930s semis and short terraces behind wide grass verges. On the High Street, many of the parades with terracotta mouldings date from the early 1900s. In New Malden Village ward at the 2021 Census, 30.3% of households lived in a semi, 23.5% in a terrace and 26.5% in a purpose-built flat.
A Victorian or Edwardian terraced kitchen is likely to be narrow, with a built-in single or a freestanding cooker; a 1930s semi often has room for a double.

New Malden's Korean community
At the 2021 Census, 3,192 people in Kingston gave their ethnic group as Korean, more than in any other London borough (Merton was next with 1,280). New Malden Village ward had the highest share in the borough: 801 of its 9,594 residents, or 8.3%. The council describes the borough as home to one of Europe's largest Korean communities, centred on New Malden, and in 2024 it signed agreements with Seocho District in Seoul and with Nam-gu in Gwangju, the second aimed at opening the first Kimchi School outside Korea.

Parking near New Malden High Street
None of Kingston's lettered parking zones is in New Malden. The council lists four small permit areas on New Malden streets. DD (Albert Road, George Road and Queens Road) is controlled every day from 8.30am to 8.30pm, and DB (Beresford Road and Dunbar Road) from 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. For DJ (the first few houses of California Road, White Gables and a short stretch of Kingston Road) and DK (Dickerage Lane, Stafford Road, Warwick Road, Lincoln Road and Kingston Road) the council gives no hours, so read the signs on the street. Elsewhere the character study flags on-street parking as a problem in the Groves. In the town centre the council's multi-storey Blagdon Road car park has 108 spaces and a 6ft 6in (1.98m) height limit.
The team needs somewhere to park, so tell us the street when you ring.

Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
Brilliant clean, my oven looks like brand new. A 5 star clean.
Once again a great job guys, I will see you in a couple of months.
