Nag's Head is the junction where Holloway Road, the A1, meets Seven Sisters Road, named after the pub that stood here until it stopped being a bar in 2004. It is the commercial middle of Holloway, sat between Upper and Lower Holloway, so a lot of the local kitchens are flats above the shops. The common layout along Seven Sisters Road is a retail unit on the ground with one-bedroom flats over the first and second floors, each with its own street door, which means the oven parts come out and down a narrow internal stair to the pavement and then across to the van, a different carry from a terrace house.
Behind Holloway Road, on the corner of Hertslet Road, is the covered Nag's Head Market. The food traders and the small caterers around it keep their own ovens hard-worked, so we get a mix of domestic singles and the odd small commercial oven near the market.

Away from the shopfronts the streets go quieter and older. Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian terraces run off the main roads, most long since split into rented flats, so the standard booking is a builder-fitted single in a conversion.
