The name comes from the Nag's Head, an early Victorian pub on the corner where Seven Sisters Road meets Holloway Road; it stopped being a pub in 2004. Homes over shops are part of the mix here. In the census area the House of Commons Library calls Holloway Nag's Head, 3.8% of households lived in a commercial building in 2021, a category that includes a flat over a shop, twice the Islington share of 1.9%. Another 7.8% lived in a flat made out of some other kind of building, such as a former school, church or warehouse.
Nearly half of households rent privately
The same area had 3,273 households, and 45.0% of them rented privately, against 31.2% across Islington. A quarter rented from the council or a housing association. Bennett Court, near Seven Sisters Road, is one of the blocks the council had built between Hornsey Road and Holloway Road by 1967.

Parking near the junction
Holloway Road itself is part of the A1 red route, where the red lines and signs limit stopping, so the van goes into a side street. Islington's address lookup puts Hertslet Road, by the market, in zone F, and 351 Holloway Road, on the west side of the junction, in zone Y. Both are controlled from 8.30am to 6.30pm on weekdays and from 8.30am to 1.30pm on Saturdays, and both run later when the Emirates has an event. The rest of Saturday and all of Sunday are normally outside those hours. The council's zone table lists the zones; the bay sign is what counts.

Yes, at the weekday price. Zones F and Y stop at 1.30pm on Saturdays unless there is an Emirates event, when they run to 4.30pm.
I live above a shop. Does the clean change?
Only the stair needs a mention when you ring. The racks, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately, and the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand in the kitchen.
Is Queensland Road, by the Emirates, covered here?
It is under a kilometre east of the junction, nearer the stadium, and sits in zone E; the Lower Holloway page is the closer one.
