Roman Road carried the A12 until the village was bypassed in the 1970s, and Drury's Farmhouse at No. 301 is listed as 16th century or earlier. Off the north side of the road is the windmill, built in 1807 for the Agnis family, who owned and worked it, and restored in 1979-83. It is listed Grade II*.
