Mortlake is where the Boat Race finishes, just short of Chiswick Bridge, and most of the kitchens we clean sit in the small Victorian terraces packed behind that stretch of the towpath. The stock here runs cheaper than Barnes or Kew next door, so a lot of it is two-up two-down terrace and period conversion rather than big houses. That shapes the work. Terrace kitchens are often narrow, sometimes off a back alley from the towpath, and the cooker is usually a freestanding or slot-in double. Parking and access by the river
SW14 sits under Richmond's controlled parking. Most Mortlake roads are inside a CPZ, so on a working day we will use a visitor permit rather than leave the van on the towpath side. Some of these terraces are reached by a narrow alley off the river path, which means we carry the racks a little further to the tank. That is fine. It is just worth flagging when you book so we allow the time.

Which streets do you cover?
All of SW14 on the Mortlake side, from Mortlake High Street and the old Stag Brewery frontage across to Sheen Lane and the station. New flats are coming on the brewery site, and we clean those too.
Will there be a chemical smell after?
No. The heavy soaking is in the tank in the van. Indoors is non-caustic hand work, so the kitchen is usable straight after the heat-test.
Can you do an oven for an end-of-tenancy?
Yes. There is a fair amount of renting in these terraces and conversions, and a checkout oven comes back clean enough for a letting agent to pass.
How long does a double take?
