Moor Park station is the only station on the TfL network that sits inside a gated private estate. It is on the Metropolitan line, it opened as Sandy Lodge Halt, and it took the name Moor Park in 1950. No bus route serves the estate.
The roads belong to a company, not the council
Moor Park (1958) Limited owns the private roads and the open spaces here, both of them handed over by the original developers, and its stated job is to maintain them and to protect the estate and its surroundings. Every property deed carries restrictive covenants. The Conservation Area, designated on 18 May 1995, rules out subdividing a plot. Just over 500 houses, none on less than a third of an acre
Lord Leverhulme bought roughly 3,000 acres in 1919, development of 288 acres of the old parkland began in 1922 and spread south and west from the station, and it stopped for the war before picking up again in 1954 once restrictions on building materials came off. The estate was laid out to a minimum plot of one-third of an acre, one house per plot, with low frontages and grass verges. Just over 500 houses stand on it. Between 2018 and 2020 they averaged around £2 million. Kitchens in stock that size tend to run a range cooker or a two-oven AGA rather than an integrated single under a counter, and a 90cm range cooker on the estate is £114.
Where the dirty part happens
Racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so nothing is left smelling of chemicals. The oven is heat-tested and signed off before we drive out. Said after the sign-off
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.

Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
