This is a hamlet, and it is worth saying so
Maypole Road was marked with that name on the Ordnance Survey map of 1871, and the same map shows only a handful of cottages either side of Jubilee Road, with nothing at all east of Hollybush Lane. Not much has changed in kind since. The wider grid square around it is described as scattered housing and woodland plus the hamlet itself, sitting under Well Hill, and the addresses fall in the Chelsfield ward of the London Borough of Bromley. There are streets in Orpington with more front doors than the whole of Maypole.
Listed cottages at one end, a 1950s terrace at the other
The older dwellings here are grade II listed, among them Osbornes of 1705, Mount Hall from the late 18th century, and Maypole Cottages from the late 18th or early 19th, while Forkways, a probable timber-framed house refaced in the 19th century, stands at the far eastern end of the hamlet just inside the London and Kent boundary. The terraced houses of Kilnfields, east of Hollybush Lane, were finished in the late 1950s. So the stock is period cottage or post-war terrace, with very little between the two. Cottage kitchens on this ground often run a range rather than a fitted column, and if that is what is behind the door, a 90cm range cooker is £114.
The pub that named the place is a house now
The Maypole pub is one of a terrace of cottages these days. The Rock and Fountain, over at Rock Hill on Well Hill, is the other name people give when they describe where they are. Neither helps a satnav much. Give us the postcode and the house name, because half the properties out here have one instead of a number.

No. Fixed price, no premium-area surcharge, even at the Kent boundary.
Do you clean AGAs as well?
Yes. A two-oven AGA is £143. The removable parts soak in the heated tank in the van and the rest is done by hand indoors.
My cottage is listed. Does that change anything?
Not for us. We use non-caustic products by hand on the cavity, fan cover and door glass, and nothing caustic goes near the kitchen.
Do you need water from the house?
No. The tank and the water travel with the van.
