The mansion-block kitchens of W9
Most of our Maida Vale work is the mansion flats. The wide avenues here, Sutherland Avenue, Elgin Avenue and Lauderdale Road, are lined with red-brick Edwardian blocks like Lauderdale Mansions and Clarendon Court, and the flat behind those doors usually holds a single integrated oven fitted into a run of units. Then there are the white stucco villas nearer the canal, larger houses with proper kitchens, where a freestanding range cooker or a double turns up far more often. Two different jobs on the same street, and the racks from an upper flat travel a fair way down to the van.

How the clean runs
The lift-out parts soak in the van. Indoors, the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand with non-caustic products, so no chemical smell hangs about after, and where the door is built to allow it we split it to clean between the glass. The oven is heat-tested and signed off before we go. A single is about ninety minutes; a double nearer two hours; a range longer again.
Parking near Warwick Avenue
Parking is a genuine operational fact in W9, though it is kinder here than in the middle of the borough. The streets are a controlled zone with restricted daytime hours, and the roads towards Warwick Avenue tube and the canal basin fill fast. One thing works in your favour. Maida Vale sits north of the Edgware Road boundary, so it falls outside the congestion charge, unlike Marylebone or Mayfair. Our vans meet the ULEZ, so that charge never lands on your bill either. Because the tank stays on board, we do not need a bay at your front door, which matters when the nearest space to a Lauderdale Road block is round the corner.

Do you clean the integrated ovens in the mansion flats?
Yes, that is our most common Maida Vale job. A single integrated oven is £77, cleaned in place with the shelves and runners taken out to the van.
Is there parking for the van?
We manage. The tank stays on board, so a bay a street away from your block is fine, and we carry the lift-out parts to it and back.
Can you handle a range cooker in one of the villas?
Yes. A 90cm range is £114, and the larger houses near the canal often have one. The clean takes a little longer than a single.
Do I pay the congestion charge?
No. Maida Vale is outside the charge zone anyway, and our vans meet the ULEZ, so nothing to do with either reaches your bill.
