Oven cleaning in Loxford from £77 with London Oven Cleaners. Before we leave you look inside the lit oven, and anything you are not happy with is done again.
In the grounds of Uphall Primary School on Uphall Road stands a white concrete block built in 1937 for Essex County Council, with a classroom for cookery and needlework and a flat where girls practised housewifery. It has been listed Grade II since 1997. The streets round it are about forty years older: building began on the Loxford estate, east of Ilford Lane, and the Uphall estate, west of it, at about the time the Cranbrook estate started in 1897.
Terraces either side of Ilford Lane
Redbridge's 2014 characterisation study calls the late-Victorian streets just south of the town centre workers' housing. They are two-storey brick houses with canted bays, parapet walls between them and big chimney stacks, set on long straight streets in a grid, on plots about 5.5m wide. Between the wars more houses went up round Loxford Park, which the London Gardens Trust says was formed on the Loxford Hall estate that Ilford Urban District Council bought in 1899; Loxford Hall itself, of about 1830, still stands outside the park on Loxford Lane. Post-war flats and terraces, mostly three and four storeys, followed along parts of Loxford Lane and in the far south between the Roding and Uphall Road.
At the 2021 Census, 39.7% of the 4,557 households in Loxford ward lived in a terraced house and 33.1% in a purpose-built block of flats. A house 5.5m wide often has a long, narrow kitchen at the back, with the cooker standing in a gap between the units or a single oven built in under the worktop.

A freestanding cooker or a built-in single
- Freestanding cooker
- Oven and hob in one unit that stands between the worktops, usually 50 to 60cm wide, often with a separate grill compartment above the main oven.
- Built-in single
- One oven fitted into the kitchen units, under the worktop or at eye level. About 90 minutes on site.
A narrow kitchen does not change the method. Shelves, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately; the cavity, the fan cover and the door glass are degreased by hand indoors, on dust sheets, and the door is split where its design allows. The single oven cleaning page has the detail.

Parking in zones Ilford A and Ilford C
On Redbridge's permit parking map two zones cover the west and south of Loxford ward: Ilford A on the streets west of Ilford Lane towards the town centre, and Ilford C across the south, on both sides of the Lane. Both run from 8:30am to 6:30pm every day of the week, Sunday included, so the van needs a permit or a paid bay at the weekend as much as on a Tuesday. The streets east of Ilford Lane further north, round Loxford Park and along Loxford Lane, are outside both. The council asks drivers to read the signs, because times change. The study also notes that parking on front gardens clashes with kerbside parking in places on the narrow terraces, so tell us where the nearest bay is.
Renting in Loxford under Scheme 4
In 2021, 42.2% of Loxford ward households rented privately, 22.4% rented from the council or a housing association and 32.9% owned their home. Loxford is one of the 15 wards in Redbridge's Selective Licensing Scheme 4, which runs from 8 April 2024 to 7 April 2029: unless an exemption applies, a private let to a single household, or to one or two people, needs a licence from the council.
Agents can have the invoice addressed to the agency, photos for the checkout file, and keys for an empty house collected by arrangement. The end of tenancy oven cleaning guide deals with deposits, and Ilford town centre has its own page.
Questions from Loxford
Do I need a visitor permit for a Sunday visit?
If your street is in Ilford A or Ilford C, yes: both zones run from 8:30am to 6:30pm every day. Round Loxford Park the council's map shows no zone.
My kitchen is long and narrow. Is there room to work?
Tell us about the kitchen when you book. The work indoors is dust sheets, the oven and hand work, and the racks, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately.
Can you clean the hob at the same visit?
Yes. A gas hob is £28 and a ceramic hob £23, added to the oven price.

Once again a great job guys, I will see you in a couple of months.
Brilliant clean, my oven looks like brand new. A 5 star clean.
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.
