Homes next to the Shard
The Shard itself has 10 flats, on floors 53 to 65; the rest is offices, a hotel and the viewing gallery. Shard Place, finished as the last part of the Shard Quarter, has winter gardens on every floor and is a rental building, so a flat comes up for re-letting whenever a tenancy ends.

The Kipling Estate towers south of Guy's
A few minutes south, Burwash House and Simla House on Weston Street are two 21-storey blocks of 78 flats each, approved by the London County Council in 1964 and now part of Southwark's Kipling Estate. The estate is run by Leathermarket JMB, Southwark's biggest tenant management organisation. Marklake Court opened in 2018 on what had been estate car parking: 27 council homes in blocks of five and seven storeys, less than 300 metres from the Shard.
On a high floor the routine is the same as anywhere. The racks, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately; the cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand in the kitchen, with dust sheets down first.

Is a pyrolytic oven self-cleaning?
Partly. A pyrolytic oven runs a very hot cycle that turns grease in the cavity to ash, which you then wipe out. Zone F parking around the station
The streets round London Bridge station, St Thomas Street and the Kipling Estate fall in Southwark's London Bridge zone, F. The council's zone list gives its hours as Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6.30pm, and says permits are not needed outside those hours. Sunday is the one day of the week the zone is not controlled. On other days the team needs a bay to park the van.

Very nearly. St Olave was the old parish that ran east from London Bridge to St Saviour's Dock, so its west end is today's London Bridge.
