The stucco villas along Blomfield Road and Warwick Avenue were built under John Nash's canal plan, and many now hold a big raised-ground-floor kitchen rather than a poky flat, so we see more range cookers and the odd AGA here than in most W postcodes. Behind the canal, the Edwardian redbrick mansion blocks off Sutherland Avenue and Clifton Gardens run to larger doubles. It is an affluent, settled area, so a lot of the work is a family cooker that has been used hard, not a tenancy change.
Ranges and AGAs by the canal
A 90cm range in one of the Maida Avenue houses is £114, and a two-oven AGA is £143. AGAs turn up more often here than the local size suggests, usually in the older Grade II houses near Browning's Pool. We clean the cast iron by hand because it cannot go in the tank. For those we lean on our AGA cleaning service, a longer job than a standard oven.
The doubles in the mansion flats are £110 and take around two hours. A single, common in the smaller Formosa Street conversions, is £77. Racks, shelves, trays and side runners soak in the heated tank in the van, while the cavity, fan cover and door glass are cleaned by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell after.
Parking near Warwick Avenue
Parking matters here. The Westminster Zone B control covering Little Venice runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:30pm, and the streets by the basin are narrow and permit-only, so we carry the racks to the van and back rather than hunting for a bay at your door. Warwick Avenue tube is the nearest marker for directions. It is inside the North and South Circular, so no call-out fee.

We clean both. A two-oven AGA is a full hand strip-down at £143, done indoors because cast iron cannot be dipped. Book a little ahead as they run longer than a standard oven.
Can you get to a top-floor mansion flat off Sutherland Avenue?
Yes. We carry the racks down to the tank in the van and back up, so the stairs are our problem, not yours.
Is there a smell in the flat afterwards?
No. The caustic soak stays in the van. Indoors it is non-caustic products by hand, so the kitchen is usable straight away.
Do you charge extra for W9?
