The Bulstrode family, lords of the manor, tried to line Lampton Road with grand housing in 1881 and the scheme failed, so Lampton stayed a farming hamlet until the very end of the nineteenth century and only filled in when the line that is now the Piccadilly was pushed out to Hounslow. The name is Old English for a lamb farm. That late start is why the housing here reads as one period rather than several.
The park was an orchard until 1925
Heston and Isleworth Urban District Council bought the land, part of it an orchard, in 1925, and Lampton Park was opened on 31 May 1930 by George Lansbury MP, then First Commissioner of Works. It splits into playing fields to the north and a formal park to the south. A sarsen stone dug up at a Heston gravel works in 1926 was set in the park in 1951.

Lampton Road, Lampton Park Road and Lampton Avenue all sit in TW3, and the stock along them is the interwar suburban house that arrived with the tube: a rear kitchen too small for its original plan, extended or knocked through at some point since, now usually holding either a freestanding cooker or a built-under single. Gas hobs are common in that stock. A hob on Lampton Road is £23–28 depending on the type, and it is worth doing at the same visit as the oven.

Why is the hob priced as a range and not one figure?
Because a gas hob with removable burner caps and pan supports is a different job from a flat ceramic or induction top. We tell you which applies before we start.
Do you use caustic products in the house?
No. The caustic side is the tank in the van. Indoors it is non-caustic only, on the cavity, the fan cover and the door glass.
Will the oven work when you leave?
We heat-test it and sign it off before going. That is part of every job.

Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
