More range cookers and AGAs turn up per street in Knightsbridge than almost anywhere we cover. The kitchens behind the red-brick Pont Street Dutch mansions and the white stucco townhouses on Lowndes Square and Cadogan Square tend to run a proper range, sometimes a two-oven AGA, which needs a different clean from a fitted single. Racks and shelves come out to the heated dip tank in the van; the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products. Mews houses and porter blocks
The other half of the work is the mews. Ennismore Gardens Mews runs off its own arch, cobbled and L-shaped, and the old coach houses there are homes now with the kitchen usually on the ground floor. Carrying a tray of hot dip solution across cobbles is a real consideration, so the tech parks as close as the bay lets him. In the porter blocks we keep the tank in the van, so nothing caustic comes up in the lift.
Parking around Brompton Road
Parking is tight and enforced hard. This side of Knightsbridge falls under Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea controls, single yellow lines are restricted Monday to Saturday, and Brompton Road itself is a red route where we cannot stop. We plan the visit around a legal bay and the walk to your door, so the postcode carries no surcharge and no call-out fee inside the Circulars.

Will the clean leave a smell in the flat?
No. Only the removable parts soak, and the tank stays in the van. The cavity, glass and fan cover are cleaned by hand with non-caustic products, so you can cook the same night.
Is there a premium for an SW1 postcode?
No. Single £77, double £110, the same as anywhere inside the Circulars. We sign in at porter desks and keep the tank in the van, so nothing is left in the communal areas. Parking permits are our problem, not a line on your invoice.
