A 1930s estate, and it still shows in the kitchens
The Robin Hood Housing Estate went up through the 1930s on Coombe Estate land sold off after Stanley Baldwin opened the Kingston By-pass in 1927, and Vale Crescent and the Robin Hood Lane houses followed around the old Robin Hood Farm in 1936 and 1937, which is why so much of what we clean here is a bay-fronted semi with a kitchen extended into the side return. Those extensions matter. An extended galley usually means a freestanding cooker against an outside wall, hob under a hood, and a run of grease on the wall behind that nobody has touched. A double oven clean on Robin Hood Way is £110 and takes about two hours.

The other half of the work is up the hill
Kingsnympton Park, the estate that grew out of the old house called The Knoll, is a different job: flats, integrated singles, tighter cavities, stairs. Kingston University's Kingston Hill campus is at the top of the A308, so the rented flats around it turn over on the academic year and the end-of-tenancy calls cluster in June and September.
Parking, and what the park gate does to it
Weekends are the problem. Robin Hood Gate into Richmond Park pulls cars onto the streets around it, and the Robin Hood Roundabout on the A3 does the rest. We would rather come midweek, because the dip-tank method means racks and shelves ferry out to the van and back, and a hundred metres of parked-out street adds real time to that.

No. The postcode you share with Putney and Roehampton makes no difference. A single is £77 here and £77 everywhere else we go.
Where does the cleaning actually happen?
Racks, shelves, trays and side runners soak in a heated tank in the van outside. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand in your kitchen with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell once we have gone.
Can you split the door glass on a 1930s-house cooker?
If the design allows it, yes. Plenty of the freestanding cookers around Vale Crescent are older models where the glass does not come apart, and we say so before we start.
Do you work around a tenancy check-out?
Yes, seven days. Give us the time and we book back from it.
