N1C did not exist until Royal Mail cut a new postcode for the Argent development on the 67 acres of railway land behind the two stations, and by 2020 about 12,200 people lived in it. That is the job description here. One developer, one kitchen spec
Every flat came with the fit-out, so the oven is integrated, sixty centimetres, usually German. Nothing here is older than the postcode. What that means is we spend less time on carbon and more on the door glass and the fan cover, and a good ten minutes checking whether the appliance is pyrolytic before we touch it, because those liners do not take the same treatment as vitreous enamel.

A car-free estate and a van
King's Cross Central was built without resident parking. The Plimsoll has none at all, and there is no on-street bay to fall back on, so we use the loading bays off Handyside Street and Stable Street and carry the racks past Coal Drops Yard. Tell us the block, the core and the floor. Lewis Cubitt Square on a Saturday is no place to push a trolley of oven shelves.

Questions from N1C
My oven self-cleans. Why would I book you?
The cycle does the cavity walls and nothing else. Door glass, seals, racks and the fan cover stay dirty, and in most N1C flats the racks have to come out before the cycle runs anyway.
Will you damage a Miele or a Siemens?
No caustic goes near it. The racks soak in the tank outside; indoors it is non-caustic products and hand tools. Our technicians are insured and DBS-checked, and the oven is heat-tested before we sign it off.
Is there a surcharge for a new-build with a concierge?
None. £77 for a single, £110 for a double, fixed on the phone.
Can you fit a check-out clean around a Friday move?
Usually, and we work Sundays. Lettings turnover in this postcode is heavy and most of our N1C bookings come in with two or three days notice.
