The A5 Kilburn High Road splits the neighbourhood in two, Camden on the east side, Brent on the west, so half our jobs sit under Camden's CA-Q permit bays and half under Brent restrictions a few doors along. Most of the work here is subdivided Victorian terraces behind the High Road, three and four storeys, cut into flats decades ago. Kitchens tend to be small and tucked at the back, which suits our method: the technician lifts the racks, shelves and trays out into the heated tank in the van, so nobody stands over a fuming oven in a galley kitchen.
We also clean the older mansion flats around Mapesbury and the streets off Shoot-Up Hill. Some of those have a freestanding range cooker in a wider kitchen. A double takes about two hours; a single closer to ninety minutes.
Parking off the High Road is the real job
Anyone who has parked around here knows the score. The terraces between Kilburn High Road Overground and the Jubilee line stop at Kilburn are almost all permit-only in the day, and the confusingly named Kilburn tube actually sits over in Brondesbury Park. Our technician carries the racks a short walk to the van when the nearest bay is a street over. It adds a few minutes. It does not change the price. There is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular and no premium-area charge for the smarter Mapesbury addresses.
End-of-tenancy work near the High Road
NW6 has a lot of letting agents and a fast rental churn, so a good share of our Kilburn bookings are end-of-tenancy cleans where the oven has to pass a check-out. If you are moving out and the inventory clerk is coming, our full clean covers the door glass split apart, the fan cover, side runners and cavity, all degreased by hand with non-caustic products so there is no chemical smell when the next tenant views the flat. Do you cover both the Camden and Brent sides of Kilburn?
Yes. The postcode is NW6 either side of the A5, and we work the whole of it, Mapesbury, Brondesbury and the streets running down to Kilburn Park.
Will the smell from the products linger in a small flat?
No. The caustic soaking happens in the tank in the van. Indoors we use non-caustic products by hand, so a one-bed conversion is fine to cook in that evening.
Can you fit a check-out clean before my inventory appointment?
Usually, yes, if you give us a day or two. We run seven days a week, which helps when a tenancy ends on a weekend.
My oven is a cheap integrated one in a new-build off Kilburn Park. Still worth doing?
Yes. Integrated single ovens are the most common thing we clean in the newer blocks. The door usually splits, the glass comes up clear, and it still counts as a single at £77.
