Kenton West is the Harrow side of Kenton Road
Kenton West is a Harrow council ward, not a district with its own station. It runs north from Kenton Road, which is the borough boundary, and west of Kenton Lane, taking in Christchurch Avenue, Kingshill Drive, Larkfield Avenue, Alveston Avenue and Hartford Avenue, where Priestmead Primary School is. Kenton station is just over the road in Brent; the streets on that side are on our Kenton page.
Its core is about ninety years old. Aerofilms photographs from May 1932, now in the Britain from Above archive, show a new housing estate centred on Christchurch Avenue, with Radstock Avenue, Kenmore Avenue and Brampton Grove among its streets.
A ward of owner-occupied semis
At the 2021 Census Kenton West had 3,055 households. Almost two thirds lived in a semi, and three quarters owned their home.
Only 21.6% rented privately and 2.2% from a social landlord. A 1930s semi with a refitted kitchen may have a built-in double in a tall housing, and a 90cm range is more likely where the kitchen has been extended into the garden. A double takes about 2 hours and a range 2 to 3 hours, so say which you have when you ring.

Parking in Kenton West: one small zone
On Harrow's parking zone map almost the whole ward is free of controlled parking. The main exception is zone KW, which covers Christchurch Gardens and part of Christchurch Avenue beside it and is controlled 10am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Larkfield Avenue, Kingshill Drive and the roads off Kenton Lane have no zone. The team needs somewhere to park for the whole visit; a drive or a space on the road outside both work.
