Hyde Park Corner is a junction rather than a neighbourhood. The Congestion Charge boundary runs through our working day
The western edge of the Congestion Charge zone is drawn along Park Lane and Grosvenor Place, which means our van can go round Hyde Park Corner itself on the free through route and then be charged the moment it turns east into Piccadilly. Most of the flats sit on the charged side. We plan for it. This is the Knightsbridge and Belgravia ward of Westminster, so the kerb outside is always a controlled parking zone, and the porter on the door tends to know which bay we can use.
The kitchens here split two ways
Grosvenor Crescent shows what happened to this pocket: eight townhouses were turned into fifteen flats with a car park underneath. Conversions like that get a fitted single oven, sometimes a compact double, and a hob nobody has ever put a roasting tin near. Then there are the older Belgravia houses and the upper lets where somebody has fitted a 90cm range cooker and genuinely cooks on it. Rents on Wilton Crescent run past £1,500 a week for one bedroom, and at that money tenancies turn over on their own schedule, so end-of-tenancy oven cleans land here through the year instead of piling into one summer rush.

Do I pay more because this is SW1?
No. There is no premium-area surcharge and no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular. A single oven is £77 at Hyde Park Corner and £77 in Barking.
Will the flat smell of chemicals afterwards?
It should not. The parts soak in the heated tank in the van; the cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand indoors with non-caustic products.
How long does it take?
A single oven is about ninety minutes, a double around two hours. Add a little if the lift is slow.
Can you work around a concierge?
Yes, that is normal in these blocks. Give us the building name. Technicians are insured and DBS-checked.
