Hounslow East station on Kingsley Road opened on 2 May 1909 as Hounslow Town, replacing a terminus at the east end of the High Street where the bus garage now stands; it got its present name on 1 December 1925.

The station itself was rebuilt in 2002 and 2003, with a new ticket hall dug out of the embankment and a green roof on the new eastbound platform building. Parking in Hounslow Town Centre North
On Hounslow's parking map the station end of Kingsley Road, the High Street beyond it, The Drive, Taunton Avenue and Ellington Road are all in the Hounslow Town Centre North zone: 9.30am to 6pm on weekdays and 9.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays. The same zone runs up Lampton Road at Hounslow Central, one stop west. The council calls the map guidance only, so read the board where you enter the zone. A Sunday or a Saturday afternoon falls outside the hours, and costs the weekday price.
