The community centre at 60 Mayfield Road stands on the site of the Stationers' Company School, which came up from Fleet Street in 1895 and closed in 1983. Where the extension was done generously you get a 90cm range squeezed into a Ferme Park Road rear extension instead, at £114. Integrated new-build ovens are a Tottenham Hale story, not this one.
Four parking zones, four different two-hour windows
This is the quirk that matters in N8. Crouch End A is controlled Monday to Friday, 10am to noon. Crouch End B, next to it, runs 2pm to 4pm. Stroud Green is noon to 2pm and Hornsey South is 11am to 1pm. They barely overlap, and Crouch End charges £4.10 an hour against £2.60 around it.
A street here can be free at 9am, controlled at 10am, and free again at half past twelve.

Does the extension make the job harder?
Sometimes. A cooker wedged between a wall and a run of units cannot always have its door split, so the glass gets done in place. It takes longer.
Will there be a chemical smell in the house?
No. The caustic soak happens in the heated tank in the van. Indoors it is non-caustic products by hand on the cavity, the fan cover and the glass.
