The old Arsenal Stadium on Avenell Road is now Highbury Square, 711 flats built into the Grade II listed Art Deco stands, and those apartments run integrated single ovens almost without exception. Around them sit the Victorian terraces off Highbury Fields, many of them split into conversion flats, plus some post-war blocks. So on a typical N5 day we go from a built-in single in a new-conversion flat to a double or a range in a whole family terrace. Both get the same method.
Parking, and match days
N5 has one parking fact you will not find elsewhere in Islington. When Arsenal play at the Emirates, the controlled parking zones near the ground switch to extended match-day hours, including afternoons at weekends, so we check the fixture list before we book you in near Avenell Road or Highbury Grove. The rest of the week it is the standard Islington CPZ. Tell us your nearest cross street and we will sort the van.
How the oven gets done
Racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, the fan cover and the door glass we degrease by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell after. The door is split where the design allows to reach the glass, and the oven is heat-tested and signed off before we leave. A single takes about ninety minutes, a double closer to two hours.
The heavy soaking happens in the van, not in your kitchen.

Can you still come on a match day?
Yes, we just plan the parking around the extended CPZ hours. It helps if you mention it when you book.
Do you clean the built-in ovens in Highbury Square?
We do, regularly. Integrated singles are the standard there, and we degrease the cavity by hand and soak the racks in the van.
Is this good for an end-of-tenancy clean?
Yes. Highbury has a lot of professional rentals, and a signed-off oven is what letting agents check for at the inventory.
How soon can you fit me in?
Often within a day or two. Weekends and non-match Saturdays go quickest.
