Oven cleaning in High Ongar from £77 by London Oven Cleaners. You inspect the oven once it is hot, and we put right any corner you are not happy with.
In 1637 the rectory manor owned nine tenements in 'High Ongar Street'. Today the old centre is The Street, where the Grade I church of St Mary the Virgin has a nave that goes back to the middle of the 12th century. The row of timber-framed houses facing the church, which the county history calls The Street, probably dates from the early or mid-18th century. The Shoes, which the county history still called the Three Horseshoes Inn in 1956, is a mid-17th-century timber-framed house, and Nos. 7-9 beside the church began as a 15th-century hall house, with a small early-19th-century shop added, which is now the post office.
Council houses down Mill Lane
Mill Lane runs south from the village and is named after a windmill that once stood to its west. In 1956 the Victoria County History put the parish's recent growth down mainly to council houses, and describes them along this lane: nine pairs on the west side just south of the village, seven more pairs farther down, and behind them Millfield, an estate of some 20 pairs of houses and four pairs of bungalows for older people, built about 1948.
At the 2021 Census the four output areas that best fit the parish held 531 households: 46.3% in a detached house, 44.8% in a semi and 7.0% in a terrace, with only four in a block of flats. 72.2% owned their home and 15.6% rented from the council or a housing association.

Post-war council pairs tend to have small kitchens, sized for a freestanding cooker or, after a refit, a built-in single. A range or an AGA is more likely in one of the detached farmhouses along the lanes. For a range, the range oven cleaning page explains what is taken apart.
Nine Ashes, Norton Heath and the CM4 end of the parish
The parish runs a long way east of the village. Norton Mandeville, whose flint church of All Saints is listed Grade II*, is part of it, and so is Norton Heath, a hamlet that the county history placed partly in High Ongar and partly in Norton Mandeville. At Spurriers, just west of Norton Heath, the main road is joined by a road that runs south-west through Nine Ashes and Paslow Wood Common towards Stondon Massey. Norton Heath, Nine Ashes and Paslow Wood Common have CM4 postcodes. The national list has 47 entries in High Ongar parish, among them Paslow Hall, Nine Ashes Farmhouse, Chevers Hall and Norton Mandeville Manor.

Parking for the van in High Ongar
The team needs to park close to the door. On The Street, Mill Lane and Millfield the lines and signs on the road decide where it can wait; at a farmhouse a drive or a yard is easiest. When you book, give us the house name or number and say where the van can pull in.
Questions from High Ongar
My postcode starts CM4. Is this the right page?
If you live at Nine Ashes, Norton Heath or Paslow Wood Common, yes. Those hamlets are in High Ongar parish, in Epping Forest district, despite the CM4 postcode, and the price depends on the appliance.
Is High Ongar part of Ongar?
No. It is a parish of its own, about a mile north-east of the town on the far side of the River Roding. The town has its own page: Chipping Ongar.
Does a farmhouse range take longer than a single oven?
Yes. A single takes about 90 minutes and a 90cm range two to three hours, at £143. A two-oven AGA, £143, takes about half a day and has to be switched off the night before so that it is cool when we arrive.

What customers tell us
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.
Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
Once again a great job guys, I will see you in a couple of months.
