Heron Quays was the strip of dockside and warehousing separating the South Dock from the Middle, or Export, Dock of the West India Docks, a complex finished in 1802. By the 1970s it was derelict. It became one of the first sites the LDDC redeveloped after 1980, and the western half went up in the mid-1980s as two and three-storey commercial units, some on piles driven into the dock itself.
Heron Quays is a quay rather than a neighbourhood
What carries the name now is offices. The station opened on 31 August 1987, closed in 2001 and reopened on 18 December 2002, rebuilt inside the new Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers development, so the platforms sit within an office tower and feed down into the Jubilee Place shopping centre. Alsop Architects designed it. The homes are not on the quay but in the towers a few minutes south and west.
The housing here is vertical
Landmark Pinnacle runs to 75 storeys and 864 flats. Wardian London is a pair of towers of 55 and 50 storeys. Stock like that means a fitted galley, an integrated single oven at £77, and an induction or ceramic hob. Racks, shelves, trays and side runners travel down to the heated dip tank in the van, while the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand upstairs with non-caustic products, which counts for more than usual in a sealed flat where the windows do not open far. Add the hob at £23–28.
The dip tank never leaves the van, however many floors up you are.
The estate is private and the parking follows its own rules
Canary Wharf is a privately owned estate, so the roads inside it are not council roads. The public streets around it sit in Tower Hamlets zone D, controlled Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm, with on-street parking free at weekends. Give us the building name and floor when you ring.

The windows in my flat barely open. Will the kitchen stink afterwards?
No. The caustic soak happens in the tank in the van. What comes into the flat is non-caustic, and no smell is left once we finish.

No. Prices are fixed on the phone, with no premium-area surcharge and no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.
How long does an integrated single take?
Around 90 minutes, plus the heat test. A double is closer to two hours.
