The London County Council built 7,631 homes here between 1948 and 1958, mostly brick terraces with some flats, and the first keys went to 44 Gooshays Drive on 25 November 1948. Parking around the regeneration
Parking is straightforward on most estate roads, which were laid out wide with front gardens and verges when the LCC drew up the plan. The Farnham and Hilldene estate around the Hilldene shopping parade is being demolished and rebuilt under Havering's 12 Estates scheme with Wates, so around Chippenham Road and Trowbridge Road you get hoardings, diverted lanes and the odd suspended bay while enabling works run. Tell us the road when you book and we will drop the tank near the door first. Harold Hill sits inside the London-wide ULEZ, and our vans meet the standard.
