Harefield still runs as a proper village, so a lot of our UB9 work is the older cottages and terraces along the High Street and up Church Hill inside the conservation area. What the dip-tank clean involves
The racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and go into a heated tank in the van, where the caustic soak does its work sealed away from your kitchen. Inside the house we degrease the cavity, the fan cover and the door glass by hand with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell left behind. Where the door design allows, we split it and clean the inner pane too. Then we heat-test the oven and sign it off. A single runs about ninety minutes; a double closer to two hours.
Parking and getting to the van
Harefield has no tube or railway station, and the 331 and U9 buses are most of the public transport, so nearly every job is a van parked on the road outside. That part is easy compared with central Hillingdon, since the residential streets off the High Street are not permit-controlled the way the town-centre roads are. The one thing worth knowing is that Harefield sits right on the edge of the ULEZ, which reached the village on 29 August 2023, and our vans are compliant, so that charge never lands on your bill.

Do you cover the streets near Harefield Hospital?
Yes. We clean ovens right across UB9, including the roads off Hill End Road and Rickmansworth Road near the hospital. Give us the road name when you book and we plan the van accordingly.
Will there be a chemical smell after you finish?
No. The caustic soaking happens in the sealed tank out in the van. Indoors we work by hand with non-caustic products, so you can cook the same evening.
Do you charge extra for a range cooker?
A 90cm range is £114, fixed. It takes longer than a single because the oven is wider, but the price is the price and we tell you before we start.
