Aircraft were built here. Hanworth Air Park was a grass airfield in the grounds of Hanworth Park House, flying from 1917 to 1919 and again from 1929 to 1947, and General Aircraft Limited worked the site from 1934 to 1949, with more than 1,650 aircraft put together on the ground in total. The Graf Zeppelin came in during the 1930s. Middlesex County Council and Feltham UDC bought the grounds in 1956 and the park opened to the public in 1959.
The suburb was built on a department store's farm
William Whiteley, of Whiteleys in Bayswater, bought 200 acres of what had been Butts and Glebe farms and renamed them Hanworth Farms, and the produce went straight to his store's food hall until 1933, when the land was sold off for housing. That sale is why so much of TW13 is interwar and postwar estate building rather than anything older, and why the A316 could be driven through in the 1970s without much standing in its way.
What that history leaves at the cooker
The 2011 census counted 1,748 flats in the Hanworth ward against just 175 detached houses, with terraces and semis in between. Flats mostly mean a built-in single oven under the counter and a recirculating hood with a filter nobody has changed. The extractor hood in a Hanworth flat is £28 on top of the oven.
Everything greasy leaves the building

It is a walk, not a problem. Tell us the floor when you book so the slot is the right length.
How long does a single oven take?
About ninety minutes. A double is nearer two hours, because there is twice the metal going into the tank and twice the glass coming apart.
Is this suitable for the end of a tenancy?
Yes. The door glass is split where the design allows, which is where an inventory clerk looks first.
Do you cover the Feltham side of Hanworth too?
Yes, and the price does not change. Hanworth runs across TW13 and TW4, and both are the same list.
