Hanworth Park, across Country Way
Across the A316 is Hanworth Park, once royal hunting ground; Henry VIII gave the manor to Anne Boleyn in 1532. In 1828 a brewer, Henry Perkins, bought the estate and built Hanworth Park House. From 1929 the grounds were the London Air Park, where the Graf Zeppelin landed in 1932, until flying stopped in 1946; the park opened to the public in 1959. The house is listed Grade II, and Hounslow's 2024 design code calls it empty and derelict. Planning consent for up to 300 homes at the Hanworth Park House site was granted on 29 November 2024.
