The houses set the job here
Most of our Hampstead work is in the large Victorian and Edwardian houses on the streets climbing up from the village, and a good share of those still have a proper range or an AGA in the kitchen. This is not integrated-flat territory in the way parts of Camden are. On the roads off Flask Walk and Well Walk, and around Downshire Hill where the houses date to the 1810s and 1820s, we see cast-iron cookers that have been in place for years and need cleaning without caustic. That is what the tank method is for.
The village keeps its old street pattern, so the kitchens vary wildly from house to house. No two mornings look the same.

- A heated soak tank kept in the van. Racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and go into it, so the grease comes off the metal, not your worktop.
- Two-oven AGA
- The classic cast-iron cooker with two ovens and hotplates under lids. Cleaned by hand with non-caustic products, £143.
How the clean runs
The lift-out parts soak in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so no chemical smell hangs around after, and where the door design allows we split it to clean between the glass. Every oven is heat-tested and signed off before we go. A single is about ninety minutes; a double nearer two hours; an AGA takes longer again because of the enamel and the cast iron.
Parking on the hill
Parking in Hampstead is genuinely hard, and we plan around it. Streets like Holly Hill are steep and narrow, the whole area is a controlled parking zone, and the East Heath Road car park fills early on a fine weekend. Because the tank stays on board, we can park a little further off and carry the racks down, rather than needing a space right at your door. Since 2023 the London-wide ULEZ has covered NW3, and our vans meet it.
One morning is an AGA off Well Walk, the same afternoon a single oven in a Belsize conversion.

Prices are fixed on the phone with no premium for the postcode, and no call-out fee inside the Circulars. An AGA clean in a Hampstead kitchen is quoted the same as anywhere.

Common questions
Do you clean AGAs and Rangemasters?
Yes, both are common up here. The AGA price is £143 for a two-oven; a 90cm range is £114. Neither gets caustic anywhere near it.
Is there a surcharge for Hampstead?
No. A single oven is £77 whether the house is on Downshire Hill or anywhere else.
Will the steep streets be a problem for you?
No. The tank is in the van, so we can park off the main hill and carry the parts. It is a normal part of working NW3.

Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
