Parking in a conservation-area village
Nearly all of Hampstead sits inside a Camden controlled parking zone, permit bays Monday to Saturday, and there is no big car park in the middle of the village. On the steep streets off Heath Street the technician parks where he can and walks the removable parts down to the van, with East Heath Road car park as the fallback. There is no premium-area surcharge here, whatever the postcode is worth.
The method for a standard oven
For a normal electric or gas oven, the racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The Well Walk and Keats Grove houses often have a 90cm range under a big extractor, and the extractor usually needs doing at the same time. Article 4 rules mean these kitchens rarely get ripped out, so the same cooker stays for years and the carbon builds.
