HMS Erebus and HMS Terror sailed from Greenhithe in May 1845 on the Franklin expedition and neither came back. The waterfront they left has since been rebuilt as housing: Ingress Park went up from 2001, Crest Nicholson, around 950 homes at a density of 95 to the hectare, some of them stacked in a five-storey apartment block.

Ingress Park was designed with a 160% parking ratio, which tells you it was built for commuters, and the letting listings for the estate run heavily to one and two-bed flats. The door glass is split where the design allows so both faces come clean, which is the bit that gets photographed.
The old village is a different job
Greenhithe station opened on 30 July 1849 on the South Eastern Railway's North Kent Line, and the village around it predates every boulevard on the hill. Ingress Abbey is Tudor-gothic, put up in 1833 to a design by Charles Moreing. Empire Paper Mills worked the riverside from 1908 to 1992. Houses of that vintage have wider kitchens and freestanding cookers, sometimes a 90cm range. Fixed price, no premium-area surcharge on either kind of address.

Only what lifts out. Racks, shelves, trays and side runners go to the heated tank in the van and come back in.
Is there a smell afterwards in a small flat?
There should not be. Soaking happens outside, and the cavity and door glass are done by hand with non-caustic products.
Can you park at Ingress Park?
