Oven cleaning in Gravesend, DA11 and DA12, from the High Street and Borough Market out to Milton and Parrock Street. Dip-tank method, single ovens from £77.
Gravesend Borough Market has been chartered since 1268, one of the oldest in Kent, and the High Street beside it carries DA11 0 postcodes almost the whole way down. The High Street also marks the join between the two former ancient parishes, Gravesend on one side and Milton on the other, which is why the town centre changes postcode district without changing character.
The post town is bigger than the town
Gravesend as a postal address runs to three districts, and only two are the town. DA11 and DA12 hold the centre and the streets around it. DA13 is the rural half, addressed to Gravesend but nowhere near the pier. So the medieval core of a 60,000-person town sits inside roughly one postcode sector.
The conservation area is a thin strip along the river
The High Street conservation area takes in part of the medieval core: the Town Pier and the river frontage, the north side of West Street as far west as Regents Court, and St George's Church with its grounds. The pier, built in 1834, is the oldest surviving cast iron pier in the world. Pocahontas was buried at St George's on 21 March 1617 and the statue of her in the churchyard was unveiled in 1958, a gift from the Governor of Virginia. Above the shops along here the flats are conversions and the kitchens are small, so an extractor hood over a High Street flat's cooker is £28 on top of the oven.
Parking is off the High Street, never on it
The public car parks are Parrock Street, Lord Street, Ordnance Road, Horn Yard and Market Square. The Charter, the new apartment scheme beside the market, is at New Swan Yard, DA12 2EN. We pay for the bay. Tell us the block or the yard when you call, because the yards here are narrow and named, not numbered.

Questions from DA11 and DA12
Do you cover the Milton side as well as the High Street?
Yes. Khalsa Avenue, Parrock Street, the lot. It is the same price either side of the old parish line.
What actually leaves the kitchen?
Racks, shelves, trays and side runners. They soak in a heated tank in the van and come back cleaned.
Will the flat smell of it afterwards?
It should not. Indoors we use non-caustic products by hand on the cavity, fan cover and door glass.
How long does a double take?
About two hours, then it is heat-tested and signed off.

What customers tell us
I would certainly recommend this service, very efficient and good value for money. The young man did a great job and even cleaned the kitchen floor. Thank you.
Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.
