Gospel Oak splits into two housing worlds within a few streets, and our work reflects that. The Mansfield Conservation Area, roughly Roderick, Savernake and Mansfield Roads, holds the larger Victorian and Edwardian terraces, and those kitchens often run a freestanding double oven or a 90cm range. Round the corner, the 1960s and 70s council estates at Lismore Circus and Bacton have compact fitted single ovens instead. Same postcode, two different jobs, and we do both at the same fixed price.
The early-Victorian artisan cottages on Oak Village and Elaine Grove are a third type again: small kitchens, small ovens, tight to work in. That is where the racks-out-to-the-van method earns its keep.
The dip-tank method, on any of these kitchens
Whatever the oven, the racks, shelves, trays and side runners lift out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so a small cottage or estate flat is left with no chemical smell. The oven is heat-tested and signed off before we leave. A single takes about ninety minutes; a double is nearer two hours, which is what most of the terraces need. The bigger terrace kitchens off Mansfield Road usually want a double oven clean, often with the extractor done at the same visit.

Getting to you and parking
Gospel Oak station is the start of the Overground line to Barking, and the streets around it are permit-controlled the same as the rest of Camden. On the narrow ends of Oak Village and the roads climbing toward Parliament Hill Lido the technician parks where he legally can and carries the racks down; the estate car parks at Lismore Circus are usually easier. Either way the price is fixed, with no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.
Do you clean fitted ovens in the Lismore Circus and Bacton flats?
Yes. Fitted single ovens in the estate kitchens are a common booking. The racks come out to the van and the cavity is hand-cleaned, so a small kitchen is no obstacle.
Can you do a double oven in a terrace off Mansfield Road?
We can. A double runs about two hours and is £110. Add the extractor hood for £28 if you want it done in the same visit.
Do you cover both the NW5 and NW3 parts of Gospel Oak?
Yes, the whole area either side of the postcode line. It is all inside our no-call-out-fee zone.
