Gospel Oak's council estates, Dunboyne Road to Bacton
The Dunboyne Road Estate was designed by Neave Brown of Camden's Architects' Department in 1966 and built in 1971-77: 71 maisonettes and flats in three parallel blocks over an underground car park, with long passageways leading to the front doors of the lower homes. It was listed Grade II on 9 August 2010.
The Bacton Low Rise estate is being rebuilt. Its first phase, Cherry Court, moved residents into 46 new council homes, and Camden has chosen Mount Anvil as its partner for phase 2.
On an estate, the deck, passage or stair between the flat and the street is what changes. The racks, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately, while the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand in the kitchen.
Lissenden Gardens, the mansion flats by Parliament Hill
Lissenden Gardens is council-owned housing of an older kind. Its three mansion blocks, Parliament Hill Mansions, Clevedon Mansions and Lissenden Mansions, went up between 1898 and 1906 to designs by Boehmer and Gibbs, and Camden bought the estate on 6 October 1973; the council is still the freeholder. The blocks run to four and five storeys, so mention the floor when you call. The estate is inside the Dartmouth Park conservation area.

Parking for the van round Gospel Oak's estates
Camden says that inside its parking zones, private land and housing-estate land run their own restrictions. Its trade permit, sold to builders and other service providers working for a local resident or business, is valid in resident bays but not on a housing estate.
The streets round Lismore Circus, Kiln Place, Barrington Court and Oak Village are in zone CA-L Outer on the council's zone data, controlled 8.30am to 6.30pm on weekdays with no weekend hours. Roderick Road, Savernake Road and Mansfield Road are in CA-B Belsize, which adds Saturday mornings from 9.30am to 1.30pm. Double yellow lines are controlled at all hours. Can the van park inside the estate?
That depends on the estate's own rules, which are separate from the street zones. Give us the block name and we will look for a legal space near it.
Can the hob and extractor be done at the same visit?

Should I say which floor I am on?
Yes. The price is agreed on the phone before the visit, and the floor, with whether there is a lift, helps us plan it.
Can you come on a Sunday?
Yes, seven days a week, and a weekend visit costs the weekday price. In CA-L the council's data lists no Saturday or Sunday controls.

Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
