Camden's own appraisal of the Charlotte Street Conservation Area says most buildings here are in mixed use, often with two or three uses stacked in one building, and that a real residential population lives above the ground floor. Everything else is a standard dip-tank clean, about ninety minutes for a single.
The stairs are the part people forget. Racks, trays and side runners go down to the tank in the van and come back up, so a third-floor flat with a turn in the staircase adds a few minutes and nothing to the bill.
Where the van sits and what it costs us
Goodge Street station is not on Goodge Street. It is round on Tottenham Court Road, a short way north of the junction, and it still runs on lifts with a 138-step staircase as the alternative. For us the relevant map is Camden's CA-E zone, which covers Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury and controls paid bays and single yellows from 08:30 to 18:30 Monday to Saturday, sitting inside the Congestion Charge zone as well. None of that reaches your quote.

Will the flat smell of oven cleaner?
No. The caustic products stay in the tank in the van. Indoors we degrease the cavity, fan cover and door glass by hand with non-caustic products, which is worth something in a one-bedroom flat with a kitchen off the living room.
Can you do a tenancy check-out clean?
Yes, and plenty of the W1T diary is exactly that. We work seven days and the oven is heat-tested and signed off before we go.
Is there a central London surcharge?
No. £77 for a single oven in Fitzrovia is £77 anywhere else, with no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.
Do you split the door?
Where the design allows, yes, so the inside of the double glazing gets done properly rather than wiped through the gap.
