Most of our Globe Town work sits in two camps: the flats on the Cranbrook Estate off Roman Road, which opened in 1964, and the Victorian terraces around Globe Road that came through the war. The estate kitchens tend to run integrated single ovens, so they are the £77 job. The old terraces are where the freestanding cookers and built-in doubles turn up, and the grease in those goes back decades. A supermarket spray will not touch it.
What the dip-tank clean involves
We lift the racks, shelves, trays and side runners out and soak them in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are then degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell left in the flat afterwards, and where the door design allows we split it to reach the inner pane of glass as well. The oven is heat-tested and signed off before we go. A single runs about ninety minutes; a double is closer to two hours.
Parking around Roman Road Market
Globe Town sits inside the ULEZ, between the North and South Circular, and our vans are compliant, so that is never a line on your bill. The Tower Hamlets controlled parking zone here runs Monday to Sunday, 8.30am to 10pm, which catches most people out. Streets nearer Roman Road Market fill early on market days. Tell us the road when you book and we will plan the run from the van to your door around it.
