Frog Island is a peninsula on the north bank of the Thames, west of the drained Rainham Creek, and no one lives on it. That is worth saying plainly. This one is a waste and logistics site. It was the southeastern tip of Hornchurch Marshes, the Phoenix Timber company had a yard on it, and Rainham Creek was dammed in 1980 during the Thames Barrier works, after which the River Ingrebourne was diverted and culverted and the creek infilled through to 1988, with the single road connection to Rainham laid over the fill.
There are no kitchens on Frog Island
The East London Waste Authority runs a mechanical biological treatment plant here, the first of its kind in England, turning household waste from Havering and Barking and Dagenham into refuse-derived fuel and recovered metal and glass. Part of the site is Phoenix Wharf, which holds safeguarded wharf status. The rest is Ferry Lane Industrial Estate and vehicle storage, with the Freightmaster Estate alongside and occupiers including Tilda Rice, Wincanton and Veolia. Havering served a planning enforcement notice at Ferry Lane in July 2022 over an unpermitted change of use to waste handling and stacked shipping containers. None of it has a domestic oven.
Where the RM13 ovens actually are
They are north and west of the peninsula, in Rainham proper. Beam Park is a 72-acre brownfield former factory site straddling Havering and Barking and Dagenham, consented for over 3,000 homes with a new station, and Havering's Rainham and Beam Park Housing Zone was designated in 2015 with roughly 3,500 homes planned across ten to fifteen years. New-build flats at that density come with an integrated single oven under the counter. A single integrated oven is £77 and takes about ninety minutes.

The racks, shelves, trays and side runners are what go in the heated tank, and that tank stays in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand indoors with non-caustic products.
