Oven cleaning in Fortune Green, NW6 and NW2, from the Greek Streets to Mill Lane. Dip-tank method, no chemical smell after, seven days, single ovens from £77.
Fortune Green was manorial waste, ground where local people held the right to graze animals, dig turf and play games, until the lord of the manor took enclosure rights over about a third of it during the nineteenth century and developers came for the rest in the 1880s and 1890s. Local opposition beat them off. The land was bought and opened to the public in 1897, Hampstead Borough Council putting up £3,000 and the London County Council £3,027, and what that money saved is 0.8269 hectares: a triangle of grass and plane trees between Fortune Green Road, Ajax Road and Achilles Road. Hampstead Cemetery is immediately north.
The Greek Streets and the mansion blocks
West of the green is the grid known as the Greek Streets, Ajax Road, Agamemnon Road, Ulysses Road and Achilles Road, built as West End spread in the later nineteenth century. The Midland Railway reached here in 1871 and density rose behind it. Along the south side of Fortune Green Road, wrapping round Hillfield Road, Aldred Road and Mill Lane, the mansion blocks hold a uniformity the individual houses never had, and run to compact kitchens with one oven under the worktop. The wider Victorian houses, and the finely detailed terraces on the bombed east side of the road, are where a 90cm range at £114 starts to show up instead.
Parking sits inside CA-P
Fortune Green falls in Camden's CA-P controlled parking zone, and Camden has had CA-P and CA-V under review across Fortune Green, Hampstead Town and West Hampstead. Both sides of Fortune Green Road and Lyncroft Gardens are in the West End Green conservation area, which governs how the buildings look and nothing about a kitchen. ULEZ applies and the van is compliant. No call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.

Questions from NW6 and NW2
Do you cover the NW2 side, around Fordwych Road?
Yes. Fortune Green ward runs across both NW6 and NW2, and the postcode makes no difference to the price.
Do you need my water or my sink?
No. The van carries its own water and the heated tank stays in it, so the racks, shelves, trays and runners go out to the kerb.
Can you do the hob and the microwave at the same visit?
Yes. A hob is £23–28 depending on type and a microwave is £22, both added to the oven price.
Does the fan cover come off?
It does, and it is degreased by hand indoors with the cavity and door glass, using non-caustic products. The oven is heat-tested before we sign off.

What customers tell us
I would certainly recommend this service, very efficient and good value for money. The young man did a great job and even cleaned the kitchen floor. Thank you.
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.
Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
