Oven cleaning in Fawkham from £77 with London Oven Cleaners: the oven is rebuilt and heated, you look it over, and any corner you query is redone on the spot.
Fawkham has no village centre. Sevenoaks District Council classes the parish as a hamlet, and its houses sit in three small clusters on the floor of a dry chalk valley: Fawkham Green, a group by the primary school and village hall, and Baldwins Green around St Mary's church.
Fawkham's houses in the 2021 Census
The parish covers about 664 hectares and belonged to Dartford Rural District until 1974. In 2021 its three census output areas held 558 people. In the Census, 138 of 225 households (61%) lived in a detached house and 93 of 221 households (42%) owned their home outright; the two tables count slightly different totals. Small Grains, towards the southern end of the parish, is the exception. The open land by its housing was acquired by a predecessor council for housing purposes, the district council's surveyor told the examiner, and in the census area that takes Small Grains in, 24 of the 49 households lived in a terrace.
A detached kitchen is often big enough for a 90cm range cooker or an AGA, while a terraced one is more likely to have a built-in single or double. The strip-down is the same. Dust sheets go down, the racks, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately, and the cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand in the kitchen.

Baldwins Green, the conservation area by St Mary's
Baldwins Green is the parish's one conservation area: about 2.8 hectares at the junction of Valley Road and Castle Hill, designated in 1992. St Mary's is Norman, listed Grade I, with a white weatherboarded bellcote on the ridge. H.B. Hohler, lord of the manor, had the church and its single bell restored in 1876. On the west side of Fawkham Road the council's 2003 appraisal picks out The Shaws, built of flint with brick quoins, and a timber-framed barn at Churchdown Farm, weatherboarded and now a house. In 1911 the population of Fawkham was 231.
If the cooker in an older house is an AGA, switch it off the night before so it is cool when we arrive. A two-oven AGA takes about half a day, and there is more on the AGA cleaning page.

- 90cm range cooker
- Freestanding, gas or electric, usually with two ovens side by side under a wide hob. £143, 2 to 3 hours on site.
- Two-oven AGA
- A cast-iron heat-storage cooker, traditionally kept on all day, so it must be off overnight before the clean. £143, about half a day.
Parking for the van on Fawkham's lanes
Much of the parish's road network is narrow, winding lane, and no public transport serves it, according to the independent examiner's October 2024 report on Fawkham's neighbourhood plan. On his site visit he found cars parked on the open space at Small Grains, on its verges and on the footways. The team needs somewhere to park close to the door. Tell us if the house has a drive, and read any signs on the road.
Fawkham oven cleaning questions
My address says Longfield, DA3. Am I in Fawkham?
Possibly. Longfield is the post town, but Fawkham is its own parish in Sevenoaks District, with Hartley to the east and Horton Kirby and South Darenth to the west. The road name settles it, and the price does not change either way. The Swanley page covers the wider area.
Is Brands Hatch in Fawkham?
The circuit is in West Kingsdown, the parish that borders Fawkham to the south.
What happens before you leave?
The oven is put back together and heated, and you inspect it lit. If a corner is not right, we put it right before we leave.

Said after the sign-off
Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
Once again a great job guys, I will see you in a couple of months.
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.
