London Oven Cleaners clean ovens in Epping and across CM16 from £77; you inspect the hot oven before we leave, and anything missed is cleaned there and then.
Epping joined the Underground on 25 September 1949, when the Central line took over the old branch from Loughton, and the town is now the line's north-eastern terminus, just outside the M25. At the 2021 Census the parish had 12,547 residents.
Epping's streets, from Lindsey Street to Coronation Hill
The High Street, numbered the B1393, follows a ridge between the Roding and Lea valleys. Henry III granted the town a weekly market in 1253, and it is still held on Mondays. The High Street's look today comes mostly from rebuilding in and after the 18th century, and it is built up continuously on both sides. In the 18th and 19th centuries Lindsey Street was the working-class quarter, with the maltings and the brewery. The railway, half a mile east of the High Street, drew building to that side; to the west, St John's Road and Chapel Road went up in the late 19th century. After the Second World War the urban district council built estates at Beaconfield and Coronation Hill on the west side, and near the railway at Steward's Green and Centre Drive.
The two Epping wards differ at the census. In Epping Hemnall ward, 22.2% of households lived in a purpose-built flat and 19.5% rented privately. In Epping Lindsey and Thornwood Common, the semi-detached house was the commonest home, at 40.1%.

A flat by the station is likely to have a built-in single under the worktop. Postwar houses may well have been planned around a freestanding cooker, and many of those kitchens will have been refitted with built-in ovens. The work is the same in both: shelves, trays and side runners come out and are soaked and cleaned separately, and the cavity, fan cover and glass are cleaned by hand indoors, the door split where its design allows.
Parking near Epping station and the High Street
On-street parking across Epping Forest district is run by the North Essex Parking Partnership, while the district council runs the car parks, which in Epping are the Civic Offices car park and the Cottis Yard multi-storey. Epping Town Council's parking flyer lists on-street pay-and-display bays at Albany Court, Kendal Avenue and Regent Road, with two-hour limited waiting in Hemnall Street and Kendal Avenue, and says every on-street location has limited spaces.
A visitor's permit for a resident's road is digital and is sold as ten stays, each of 6 or 24 hours. How long we are on site decides which one you need:
- Single oven
- About 90 minutes, £77. A 6-hour stay is plenty.
- Double oven
- About two hours, £110.
- 90cm range cooker
- Two to three hours, £143. Still inside a 6-hour stay.
- Two-oven AGA
- About half a day, £143. Switch it off the night before so it is cool, and use a 24-hour stay to be safe.

Lets near the Central line, and new homes south of the town
Epping Forest district is mostly owner-occupied (69.6% of households in 2021, with 14.9% renting privately), but renting is more common in Epping Hemnall ward, which takes in the streets by the station such as Kendal Avenue and Hartland Road. When a let ends, the invoice can go to the agency, photos can be taken for the checkout file, and keys for an empty flat can be picked up by arrangement. Tenants can read how to get ready for an oven clean before the day.
More homes are planned. The district's Local Plan, adopted on 6 March 2023, set out a South Epping masterplan area by the M25, either side of the Central line, for at least 450 homes. New houses like these often come with integrated ovens, some with a pyrolytic setting; there is a page on pyrolytic self-cleaning versus a professional clean.
Epping oven cleaning questions
Can you come on a Monday, when the market is on?
Yes, we work every day of the week. If you live on the High Street itself, mention it when you book so we can plan where the van stops.
Do you cover Theydon Bois, North Weald and the villages?
Yes. CM16 takes in Theydon Bois and North Weald as well as Epping. The area pages listed below also include Stapleford Tawney and, much further north around Harlow, Roydon, Matching Green and Sawbridgeworth (in Hertfordshire).
We have a range cooker in a big house on the forest side. Is it priced differently?
Yes. A 90cm range is £143 and takes two to three hours; a 100cm range is £167. Measure the width before you call and the price is fixed there and then.
Can you collect keys for an empty flat?
Yes, by arrangement. You or the agent inspect the lit oven afterwards, and if a corner is not right we put it right before we leave.

What customers tell us
Once again a great job guys, I will see you in a couple of months.
Brilliant clean, my oven looks like brand new. A 5 star clean.
Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
