Enfield Highway is the stretch of old Hertford Road between Ponders End and Enfield Wash, and most of what we clean strings off that one road. The terraces close to it are late-Victorian and Edwardian, many split into flats or let whole, so the average booking is a fitted single or a freestanding cooker in a rented kitchen. Behind them sit the council estates and the newer infill, including the affordable houses from the Ordnance Road scheme, where the kitchens are integrated singles under a hob. It is a working road, chip shops and takeaways along it, and their fryers throw grease that drifts into the flats above, so the extractor over a Hertford Road flat oven is often as bad as the oven.
The Hertford Road parking problem
Hertford Road is a red route in places and busy all day, so we do not stop on it. We turn into a side street, park on the terrace kerb and carry the oven parts to the van tank. The Ponders End end is moving to a controlled zone, the Electric Quarter CPZ, so some streets need a visitor session. Give us the exact road when you book.

What the dip-tank clean involves
Racks, shelves, trays and side runners come out and soak in a heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand indoors with non-caustic products, and where the design allows we split the door to clean the film between the glass. A single takes about ninety minutes, a double nearer two hours, and the oven is heat-tested before we leave. If fryer grease has coated the hood, our extractor hood clean is £28 on the visit.

Yes. Over a takeaway the hood gets coated, so we often do both. The hood is £28.
Do you handle end-of-tenancy ovens on the let terraces?
We do. Book the checkout day and we leave a receipt for the deposit paperwork.
Is the van ULEZ compliant?
Yes. All of EN3 is inside the ULEZ and the van meets it, so no charge is passed on.
