The council's redevelopment of the town centre, Magna Square (formally Egham Gateway West), was planned with more than 100 homes, student accommodation, shops and a cinema, and Places for People managed it on behalf of Runnymede Borough Council. Flats of that kind come with fitted kitchens, usually a built-in single or a double under the worktop, sometimes with a pyrolytic cleaning cycle. Parking near Egham High Street
Egham station opened on the Waterloo to Reading line in 1856, and the town has three level crossings, so a van crossing town can be held at the barriers like everyone else.
Two of Runnymede Borough Council's Egham car parks are close to the High Street. Hummer Road car park (TW20 9BW) has 72 spaces under a 2.25m height bar, with no return within two hours. Egham Library car park off Fairhaven has no height bar, only 20 spaces, the first 30 minutes free and £1.35 for up to two hours.
