Most of our Eastcote work is the interwar semis on the Eastcote Park Estate and the streets running off Field End Road, the ones with the concrete tile hipped roofs that Comben and Wakelin and Galley Homes threw up in the 1930s when the Metropolitan line pushed out here. Those kitchens tend to hold a freestanding cooker or a built-in single, and the ovens have often seen thirty or forty years of Sunday roasts, so the door glass and the fan cover carry a thick brown film that only comes off by hand. The estates and the newer flats

The Morford Way conservation area keeps its Tudor-style and suntrap houses, while the Malt Works block near the station brought 56 new one and two-bed flats with integrated single ovens. Parking near the station and the village
Eastcote has a station car park off Field End Road, but the residential streets off the High Road stay quiet outside commuter hours, so before 8am or after 6pm there is usually a kerb space near the door. On the Park Estate loop roads the van goes on the drive, which keeps the carry to the heated tank short. The conservation lanes like Cheney Street and Cuckoo Hill are narrower, so we park where we can and walk the racks out.
