East Smithfield is the road itself: it runs east from Tower Hill and becomes The Highway, the A1203, after about a quarter of a mile. Royal Mint Court sits on one flank, the Thomas More Street blocks and St Katharine Docks on the other, then the old wharf conversions run down towards Wapping Lane.
The ovens here split two ways
Flats are 85.4% of the housing stock in E1W, about as flat-heavy as Tower Hamlets gets, and that shows in what we open up. The 1980s warehouse conversions, the Oliver's Wharf sort of building, have usually had two or three kitchens fitted since, so you get a freestanding cooker wedged into a recess or a wide integrated single under a granite run. The newer riverside blocks off Thomas More Street are nearly all integrated singles at £77, barely touched by one tenant and then hammered by the next.
Some converted lofts have a 90cm range. Those are £114.
Parking is a real part of the job here
The van needs to be close, because the racks, shelves, trays and side runners come out of your kitchen and go into a heated dip tank in the back of it. Tower Hamlets controlled parking runs Monday to Sunday, 8.30am to 10pm, which catches out anyone assuming a Sunday morning is free. The area is inside the ULEZ. The Highway is fast, so we come off it and park on the estate roads instead.
Tenancy churn drives most of the bookings
E1W is the dearest space per square foot in Tower Hamlets, and expensive riverside flats re-let fast. Foxtons, Robinson Marsh and the smaller Wapping independents all work this patch, and their check-out reports are strict about the oven. So a lot of the E1W diary is end-of-tenancy: a single at £77, or that plus the hob cleaning at £23–28 when the induction top has been scorched.

Will the flat smell of chemicals afterwards?
No. The caustic work happens in the tank in the van. Indoors we hand-degrease the cavity, fan cover and door glass with non-caustic products.
How long does it take?
A single oven is about ninety minutes, a double around two hours.
Do you charge extra for E1W?
No. The prices above are the prices, and there is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.
The oven is heat-tested and signed off before we leave. Tower Gateway DLR is two minutes up the road.

Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
