Parking splits the area in two, and it changes the job. On the 1930s semis of the Ringwood Estate and along East End Road, most houses have a drive or off-street space, so the van pulls in and the technician is at the door in a minute. The County Roads, the Victorian terraced streets toward the High Road, are the opposite: on-street only, and hard to park near in the evening. We book the terraces earlier in the day.

The tube-side parking zone
The streets nearest East Finchley tube, on the Northern line's High Barnet branch between Finchley Central and Highgate, fill with commuter cars by mid-morning, which is why Barnet has been through a long back-and-forth over an experimental controlled parking zone around the station. It has been proposed, paused after a residents' petition, then revisited, so the rule on a road can change. The technician checks the signs on the day. Cherry Tree Wood, opposite the station, is the landmark we aim for.
Bigger kitchens toward the Suburb
The oven changes as you move south toward the Hampstead Garden Suburb boundary. The 1930s Arts and Crafts houses there, laid out from 1907 behind drives and large gardens, tend to have wide kitchens, and that is where the two-oven AGAs and big range cookers turn up. An AGA is a different clean, done cold with the parts soaked in the van, and it is £143 on our Hampstead Garden Suburb AGA page. No premium for the address.
How the clean runs
Racks, shelves, trays and side runners soak in the heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so no chemical smell is left. The oven is heat-tested before we go. A single is about ninety minutes; a double nearer two hours.

Yes. A two-oven AGA is £143 and a 90cm range is £114. Both take longer than a standard oven because of the parts, and we allow for that.
Can you park on my drive if I have one?
That is easiest for us. On the Ringwood Estate and East End Road, off-street space means a quick in and out. On the County Roads we park where we can.
Is East Finchley inside your no-fee area?
Yes. There is no call-out fee anywhere inside the North and South Circular, and we cover the whole of N2 seven days a week.
