The price follows the appliance, and it is agreed on the phone before anyone travels: an integrated single in one of the blocks is £77, a double is £110 on either side of the street.
Drayton Park is zone G, Whistler Street zone E
The council's postcode lookup puts Drayton Park itself in zone G (Gillespie), where permits are needed only from 10am to 2pm on weekdays and there are no weekend controls. Whistler Street, which opens off it, is in zone E: 8.30am to 6.30pm on weekdays and 8.30am to 1.30pm on Saturdays. Both zones get longer hours when Arsenal play at home or there is another big event at the stadium, and in zone G that means 10am to 8.30pm on a weekday. The council's match-day page adds that the bays on Drayton Park between Benwell Road and Bryantwood Road cannot be used when they are needed for coach parking.
For the van, zone G's four-hour weekday window is easy to work round with an early or an afternoon slot, and a weekend with no fixture has no controls there at all. Mention the street, and whether it is a home game, when you book.
