Drayton Green station on Drayton Bridge Road was the least used railway station in the whole of Greater London across 2021/22 and 2022/23, and it still only handled about 20,198 entries and exits in 2023/24. Nobody here gets the train. The housing behind the station is largely 1920s, the Argyle Park estate running from Argyle Road up to the Greenford branch line, with the Berners Drive and Coleridge Square estate added in the early 1980s next to the rebuilt West Middlesex Lawn Tennis Club.
Two build periods, two grease problems
The 1920s houses have back kitchens that were meant for a much smaller cooker than the one in them now. Freestanding, wide, pushed into a gap. The grease goes down the sides and onto the wall, and the extractor hood over a Drayton Bridge Road cooker is usually carrying more of it than the oven is. The 1980s flats are the opposite: an integrated single, £77, tidy, and the filter above it has never been out of its frame.

What actually goes in the tank?
Racks, shelves, trays and the side runners. They come out of your kitchen, soak in the heated tank in the van, and go back in clean. The cavity, the fan cover and the door glass are done by hand indoors.
How long does it take?
A single is about ninety minutes. A double runs to roughly two hours, and we heat-test the oven and sign it off before leaving.
Do you charge more for W7?
No. The price is fixed and you get it on the phone, before anyone comes out.
Can you clean the hood and the hob on the same visit?
Yes. Hood £28, hob £23–28. They fit into the time the racks are already soaking, which is why it is worth doing them together.
