Most of our Deptford Bridge work sits in two pockets: the new-build flats near the DLR station, and the older terraces running back toward Deptford Broadway. The flats built at Frankham Walk and around Neptune Wharf nearly all came with an integrated single oven, and those are the calls we book most weeks. The terraces off the Broadway lean older, with freestanding cookers and the odd 90cm range in a kitchen that has been knocked through.
The job is the same either way. Racks, shelves, trays and the side runners come out and go into a heated tank in the van, where they soak clean. The cavity, the fan cover and the door glass get degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell left in the flat. The oven is then heat-tested and signed off before we leave.
Parking here needs a word. The streets around Deptford Broadway fall inside a Lewisham controlled parking zone, so we sort a permit or bay first. On market days the High Street closes to traffic from 6am to 7pm, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and we carry the racks the short way to the van.

End of tenancy near the station
Many flats near Deptford Bridge DLR are let, and Goldsmiths and Greenwich students churn through the one and two-bed places every summer. Yes. We clean the flats in the council blocks north of the Broadway as readily as the new-builds. Most of those kitchens run a freestanding or built-under single oven.
Will there be a smell after you finish?
No. The caustic soaking happens in the tank in the van. Indoors we only use non-caustic products by hand, so the oven is usable straight after.
How long does it take?
A single oven runs about ninety minutes. A double is closer to two hours. Add a little if the hob or the extractor hood goes on the same visit.
Do you clean the hob and extractor at the same time?
We do. A hob is £23–28 and an extractor hood is £28, booked alongside the oven on one visit.
