Dartford Borough grew by 19.9% between the 2011 and 2021 censuses, from just under 97,400 people to around 116,800, which was the second-largest percentage rise of any local authority in England, behind only Tower Hamlets on 22.1%. Nearly one household in five rents privately
The 2021 census put 18.1% of Dartford households in the private rented sector and 13.8% in social or affordable rented housing, with the social share down from 14.8% ten years earlier. The town centre stopped being a car park in 2024
Phase 2a of the town centre regeneration finished in March 2024. No. Fixed price, no premium-area surcharge, quoted on the phone before we come.
Does the flat smell of chemicals afterwards?
It should not. Racks, shelves, trays and side runners soak in a heated tank out in the van, and the cavity, fan cover and door glass are done by hand indoors with non-caustic products.
Can I cook on it that evening?
Yes. It is heat-tested and signed off before we leave.
What about the hob and the extractor?
A hob is £23–28 depending on type and an extractor hood is £28, booked with the oven or on their own.
