Custom House for ExCeL is the name the DLR gives Custom House station, which joined the DLR on 28 March 1994 and has had Elizabeth line trains since 24 May 2022. It is the western way into the exhibition centre.

The nearest homes are north of Victoria Dock Road, about 350 to 550 metres west of the station and close to Royal Victoria DLR station: Munday Road, Gill Avenue, Clements Avenue and Martindale Avenue. It is a mixed patch. The census area that holds these streets (Newham 034D) had 481 households in 2021. Of those, 49.1% lived in a purpose-built flat and just under half in a house: 28.3% terraced, 14.3% semi-detached and 6.2% detached. ExCeL first opened in November 2000 on the north quay of Royal Victoria Dock. The venue says it now hosts some 400 events a year and around four million visitors. If your clean falls on a show day, mention the date when you book: traffic and kerb space near the venue may be tighter than usual.
Parking in Newham's Canning Town zone
Newham's zone map puts the streets around Munday Road in the Canning Town parking zone, introduced in February 2001 and extended in March 2017. The council's zone table gives its hours as 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and some bays take pay by phone in those hours. Sunday falls outside the zone's hours (yellow lines still count). The team needs somewhere to park, so a space near the door helps.
