Crofton Park took its name from the railway station that opened on Brockley Road in July 1892. Before then the land was Brockley Farm, Brockley Hall and the Brockley Jack pub, which was rebuilt in brick and stone in 1898. Parking in the Honor Oak zone
Lewisham's Sustainable Streets parking zone for Crofton Park, which the council's permits page calls Honor Oak (Crofton Park), started on 15 January 2024. The zone table gives zone HO as 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. After a six-month review the council proposed adding Tatnell Road, Lessing Street, Grierson Road, Gabriel Street, Honor Oak Park and Riseldine Road, and took that to Mayor and Cabinet in December 2024. Outside the zone's hours visitors can use the marked bays free, so a weekend visit avoids the permit question; on a weekday, check the sign at the entrance to your street and tell us the road when you book.
