Oven cleaning across Cranham, RM14, the Front Lane and Moor Lane semis and the roads around All Saints. Dip-tank method, seven days, single ovens from £77.
Cranham was meant to be bigger than this. A scheme called Cranham Park was laid out on the land between Front Lane and Moor Lane and sold to buyers as an extension of Upminster, but it failed, and the main reason was that nobody could get enough water to it, so the building of the 1920s and 1930s ended up fronting mainly on those two lanes instead of filling the ground behind them.
Over nine in ten households own the place
Home ownership across Cranham runs above 90 per cent, which is high for anywhere inside Greater London and changes what an oven looks like by the time someone rings. Rented stock turns over and gets cleaned at each changeover. Owner-occupied stock does not. Interwar semis here also tend to have been extended at the back, and an extended kitchen is where a 90cm range cooker ends up, so a range cooker in a Cranham extension is £114, fixed price, no premium-area surcharge.
Georgia's founder is buried in the chancel
James Oglethorpe, who founded the colony of Georgia, lies at the centre of the chancel in All Saints', which was rebuilt in 1873 and now sits in its own conservation area. The name stuck to the area. In 1931 twelve council houses in Moor Lane were opened as Oglethorpe Cottages, and there is a James Oglethorpe primary school. St Luke's is further north on Front Lane.
Getting the van near the door
Cranham has the A127 across the north and the M25 about half a mile north-east, and the Upminster depot for the District line sits here too. Kerbside is mostly unrestricted on the residential lanes. We need a spot within carrying distance, because the racks, shelves, trays and side runners go out to a heated tank in the van and come back hot.

Cranham asks
The oven has not been cleaned in years. Is that a problem?
No, and it is common in owner-occupied stock. Build-up takes longer to shift, but the price does not change.
Do the shelves get cleaned in my sink?
Never. They soak in the tank in the van. Indoors is hand work only, non-caustic, on the cavity, fan cover and door glass.
Can you do a range and its hob together?
Yes. Range £114, hob £23–28 depending on type, and it is heat-tested before we leave.

What customers tell us
Nice hardworking lads that always do a good job. We used them for our old flat when moving out and for the new one now, both jobs were done very professionally. My wife is very impressed with the results and would recommend them to friends and family.
Very satisfied with the service. They were slightly late at first but I got a call from customer service to let me know, and it was all fine. The oven man, as he called himself, arrived and worked very hard for a couple of hours. My oven now looks like it has never been used.
Arrived promptly and did a great job cleaning the oven, hob and extractor. They look like new now and for a very reasonable price too.
