The shopping run sits on the A112 and A1009 crossroads, and the streets that spread off it are mostly interwar. South Chingford filled in during the 1920s and 1930s, once the tram reached Albert Corner and the shops followed, so the typical kitchen we clean here is a built-in single oven in a 1930s bay-fronted terrace or semi off Old Church Road, Hall Lane or New Road. The racks, shelves and side runners come out and soak in the heated tank in the van. The cavity, fan cover and door glass are degreased by hand indoors with non-caustic products, so there is no chemical smell after. We heat-test the oven before we sign it off.
Parking off the crossroads
The Sainsbury's superstore near Hall Lane pulls a lot of traffic through the junction, and the side roads off Chingford Mount Road can be tight on a weekday, so on the busier terraces we take a mid-morning slot when the parade bays free up and the van goes straight outside. There is no call-out fee inside the North and South Circular.

Do you cover the roads around Chingford Mount Cemetery?
Yes. The cemetery has been there since 1884, and the terraces on either side of it are all inside our area. E4 is covered seven days a week.
My kitchen has a 90cm range, not a built-in oven. What does that cost?
